Our young stars were out in full force this weekend, showcasing phenomenal skill, team spirit, and determination across all three age groups. Here is how our teams got on:
U8s
Our youngest players traveled to Carrickcruppen on Sunday and delivered an outstanding team performance. The girls pulled together brilliant passing moves and fought hard for every single ball from start to finish. Their energy and enthusiasm on the pitch were incredible to watch—superb effort, girls! 👏
U10.5s
Forkhill proudly hosted Saturday's U10.5 Blitz, and our girls gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about! The team showed fantastic movement and unselfish passing, constantly playing for each other. The progress this group has made over the past year is immense, and we could not be prouder of their work rate! 🙌
U13s
Our U13s took on the Clady Blitz and produced a thrilled-packed run all the way to the Shield Final! After a strong group stage, they dug deep in a dramatic semi-final, scoring a last-minute free to force extra time before sealing the win with a brilliant fisted point. Though they narrowly missed out in the final by just a single point, their resilience and heart were second to none! 💪
Huge congratulations to all the players, coaches, and parents for representing Forkhill LGFA so brilliantly this weekend!
